Recently, Bastion’s Point has been sending its top researchers and scholars to the Nearby Lunar Rift in Westend in order to leverage its secret travel power and open its gates for the use of all of Novia. The Task has been Perilous and Fraught with Danger.
Some researchers who have entered the Rift returned claiming they were somewhere high above Novia looking down upon it, while others have not returned at all! Not letting the dangers stop them, the researchers pressed on..
We have been Successful!
Announcing the Bastion’s Point Lunar Rift Chronometer. Never again miss your destination window to far off lands. Bastion's Point truly is the Window to all of New Britainia, and only minutes from wherever you are!
Research indicates large seismic fluctuations in the Lunar Core that suggest additional destinations *may* still be available beyond what we can access now. These destinations may be able to take us to lands even farther then what we know is possible now. With that in mind we have built the Chronometer for celestial expansion and are prepared to make those adjustments when needed.
~ Aldo the Odd Alchemist, Bastion's Point.
There are 8 functioning Lunar Rifts in New Britainia, One in each of the three starting locations, Solace Bridge, Blood River and Highvale. and 5 others around Novia The destination changes based on the phase of New Britainia's Moon. Little is still known of the these Mysterious Rifts, but what we do know is, all of the Lunar Rifts are linked and the destination is the same no matter which Rift you enter **.
The Lunar Rift Chronometer will display, in minutes, when the Destination will be active for each of the known Rifts. If one of the Rifts are currently active, the Chronometer will display how long that Rift will remain open before closing.
You can always double-check your Rift Destination before entering it by hovering your mouse over the Blue Rift.
( **Note: Entering the Rift FROM the Destination Location when the Destination Rift is Active will Teleport you BACK to The Isle of Storms where you began the game. Why it does this is still beyond our knowledge. You can return by re-entering the Rift.)
I am not seeing any variance. Checked a couple PC's and my phone as well. Something to check, the application uses the Local PC Time so its very important that the PC be set to use an Internet time source.
is it only me or is there a time offset of ~1min 30 sec
Hey NickCold. Sadly, no there is not. When we started the project we wanted to have it be a phone app, but in the end we did not want to spend the time needed to write one. This was much easier. Perhaps someday if we can find a quick and easy.
**Note: Entering the Rift FROM the Destination Location when the Destination Rift is Active will Teleport you BACK to The Isle of Storms where you began the game. Why it does this is still beyond our knowledge. You can return by re-entering the Rif
What about the Isle of Storms?
Brilliant alchemist that Aldo! Great employee, works for free... if he ever finds a competent attorney I'll be doomed!
